[Solved] Compatibility Question with MS Office

i want to create documents with open office but i am unsure if they will open with microsoft office? are they compatible? is there some sort of compatibility program i can use? im really desperate right about now

You can save from OpenOffice in .doc format. Use /File /Save As, drop the file type selector to MS Office 97/2000/XP and check the "automatic file name extension" box. All current versions of MS Word read .doc files.

You better distribute your documents as PDF which is readable on any platform.
If, and only if, the receipient is supposed to edit your document with Microsoft Word you may send .doc files.
I prefer plain text for collaboration. Plain text makes everything as easy as can be.
