Side-by-side pages in .pdf viewing?

Post by Prole »

I've seen .pdf files made with Openoffice that have pages side-by-side in the .pdf viewer while still allowing a stand-alone page cover. Pages arrayed like this seem to resemble text columns.

An example of this effect with openoffice : http://theaprilreader.org/TAR.Issue.16.pdf

I'd like to emulate this, but am quite confused how to go about doing so. Can anyone help me here?

Update: I've discussed this with someone else and it has been suggested this is actually just a side effect of my current .pdf viewer. Perhaps this is a non-issue after all?

In Ubuntu Document Viewer there is a /View setting which places two body pages side by side, but allows the cover to show as a single page. I suggest you need to check your viewer settings and display scaling.
