[Solved] How do you resize a jpg

Post by ninasthoughts »

Hello,

This is the first time of using open office.
I downloaded a jpg picture but could not find how to resize it. Does anyone know?

Microsoft word seemed easy and straightforward. But using this system there does not seem to be any buttons that say edit > resize etc.

Thanks in advance

One way is to right click on the picture in the file and select Picture. On the Crop tab you can resize and adjust cropping. Alternately, click on the picture to select it, and pull one of the green handles. Using Corner handle and hold downing shift constrains to the correct proportion.

Please don't use the green tick mark until your problem has been solved. I've removed it.

Basically, better use a dedicated application to modify your pic and then import it. You may embed a file with too much kB when resizing it would be enough before insertion.

Please add '[Solved]' at the beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
