Hi everyone another newbie here.
I have downloaded version 3.3.0 after looking for a replacement for my old copy of MS office 2000, but I would like to know if it is possible to open existing publisher docs and create something similar
I have seen in the extensions part of the main website Writer2ePub, would this enable me to do what I want
Sorry to be a pain on my first posting

Re: publisher docs
This is brought up a lot - see http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... =7&t=13121 for a way to open your Publisher files. OOo doesn't have a Publisher look-alike.
OpenOffice 4.1.11 on Ubuntu; LibreOffice 6.4 on Linux Mint, LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Ubuntu

Re: publisher docs
Thanks for the quick reply.............
Unfortunately, my wife would also be using openoffice, but her pc is not on the internet and it would not always be possible for her to use mine which is.
I think one option would be to put openoffice on both machines and just install the publisher part of MS office on both.
The main reason why we are going the openoffice route is because word 200 is giving my wife problems on her pc, and she gets word docs from friends who are using a much later version of MS office, and they cannot be opened by our much older version.......
