OpenOffice.org won't open my MS Works files
I have lots of wps files from my laptop that I just copied to my new computer. The new computer has windows 7 but has no word processing program so I downloaded OpenOffice.org 3.3. My files are not microsoft word files. The program on my laptop is called microsoft works word processor. Will open office open these? I can't get it to open them. Do I need to do something special first? Thanks

OpenOfffice.org doesn't handle MS Works files. Files can be converted to other formats at the site http://www.zamzar.com/, but if you have many files that might be tedious.
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint
