Opening QPW files

How do I open and convert a qpw file. It's an old quatro file. I'm new and just downloaded the openoffice.org program. I tried reading thru the docs, but couldn't find any info. I tried file, open, selected file, etc but just get a blank form. Thanks to anyone for your help.
