[Solved] Time Taken to Download OpenOffice.org V3.3.0

Computer: iMac desktop
Software: Mac OS X V10.6.7
OpenOffice: V3
Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Internet download speed: 8 Mbps

I have tried downloading V3.3.0, but the download speed is around 6.5 KB/sec and the indicated time is anything between 7 to 10 hours. When I first downloaded OpenOffice V3 it took about 30 or so minutes. Any ideas on the reason for the long download period?
