docx to pdf conversion

Post by lokeshmf »

Hi,
I am using OpenOffice 3.2 and jodconverter-2.2.2.
Our requirement is to convert Docx files to PDF.
Using open office we are able to convert DOCX to PDF. But we are facing allignment problems.
Index for the document is not coming and tables etc are missing in the output PDF document...
Please help me on this...

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

There are some interesting links about .docx here: MS Office 2007 OOXML file format (docx, xslx, pptx, ppsx).

If you must use .docx, I fear the safest way is to buy MS Office and use a virtual printer (like PDFCreator). But you lose all the hyperlinks to bookmarks then. Welcome to the vendor lock-in policy!

Then either put up with the flaws of the OOo filters or buy a more compatible tool (perhaps advanced products of Adobe) or help (money/manpower) the devs...
