Consolidating data from multiple columns into 1

Post by cmascal »

I have another long list of addresses where I put the street, city, state zip, in different columns and I need to get them into one while maintaining the correct address for the correct person. When I copy and paste into that one column, it makes a long run on where the addresses get jumbled. Is there an easier/better way?

Thanks!

Are you talking about Calc or Writer?

I have to do the same thing with consolidation into two different formats. I use Base and have two macros which create html files with the output. By outputting to html I then have a platform independent format which can be used in a spreadsheet or posted on the web.

This approach needs some prior experience in SQL and VBA but the OpenOffice side presents no additional issues.
