[Solved] Importing Publisher files

Post by frankkfarr »

I am new to Openoffice and am looking for a way to import my Microsoft Publisher files (.pub) into open office. Is this possible or not?

OpenOffice.org is a word processor similar to MS Word, but no desktop publishing application.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

This might help, it depends on how complicated your file layouts are: How To Open Publisher Files in OOo.

You can't work on them as Publisher files in anything other than Publisher. That's part of Microsoft's tie in. Once you've used their applications your stuck with using their applications. But you can convert them (sometimes) to .doc and then open those.
