[Solved] Opening/reading/writing to pdf file

Post by Tofi »

I receive email attachments in pdf format for me to printout. Occasionally there is an error. I would like to correct the error myself rather than emailing back to the source to correct it. Will OpenOffice 3.1 allow me to do this?
I am new to OpenOffice and would like to make it my default programme.
Is there some work around?

Would appreciate any help,
Keith

I have removed your email. No one will reply by email, they will reply here in the thread so other forum users can see and benefit from the discussions. it would also have been found and exploited by spam-bots (TheGurkha, Moderator).

Hi and welcome to the forums.

With this extension you can open PDFs and make small edits: Sun PDF Import Extension [Beta].

Note that this is for things like correcting typo's, it isn't a replacement for a fully fledged PDF editing tool like Adobe. It's always best to get the source document and make the correction there, and then re-create the PDF.

If this has answered your question please go to your first post and use the Edit button, and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can use the green tick icon at the same time if you like.
