[Solved] Does OpenOffice store info on their servers?

Postby AuroraDizon » Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:53 am

I was just wondering if Open Office stored my information on servers like Google Docs did.

I do not want it to, I just want to know if it does.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

No, OOo is not like Google docs. With OOo you download the office suite application and install it on your own PC. Your documents are stored on your own PC.

If this has answered your question please go to your first post and use the Edit button, and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can use the green tick icon at the same time if you like.

Alright thanks for your information.

I'm a writer and I didn't want to trust my documents on foreign servers and wasn't sure if OO stored them securely or not onto other servers. Thanks a bunch
