Opening a .pdf

Post by greenleaf »

I have been using OpenOffice for a while with Kubuntu (Linux). I recently began using Vista and after installation, I'm having issues opening .pdf files. What part of OpenOffice normally deals with .pdfs? Am I missing something?

You need to install the PDF import extension: http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... /pdfimport

Perhaps Ubuntu includes it as a standard part of OOo?

You might try a PDF reader like PDF-Xchange, if not directly editing. Although that program does allow some changes to be made.
