Stuck Works (.wps) Documents

I am running Vista Business on my new computer. I put in a CD with .wps documents on it and opened it in Roxio. I typed a OpenOffice Writer document and proceeded to write it onto the disc. When I did this it listed all of the docs as open text documents and now I can't open anything but the Writer doc i added. How do i get my other documents back?

The standard version of OpenOffice cannot open MS Works documents.
