Forgive me if I'm wrong, but...
Isn't a dictionary something that tells you what the meaning of a word is?
And what we're talking about here is a list of words that is used by spell check and not a dictionary per se, based on that meaning?

Re: [Solved] Add additional dictionary in OpenOffice.org Wri
Well, according to several online dictionaries that I consulted, the word dictionary has a number of meanings, including:
A list of words stored in machine-readable form for reference, as by spelling-checking software. The Free dictionary
Computers.
A list of words stored in machine-readable form for reference, as by spelling-checking software. The Free dictionary
Computers.
- a list of codes, terms, keys, etc., and their meanings, used by a computer program or system.
a list of words used by a word-processing program as the standard against which to check the spelling of text entered.
