How can use OpenOffice for GST in India?

In India, the GST(Goods and Services Tax) was implemented from 1 July 2017. How can use OpenOffice for GST in India? Please give suggestions.

Simply use MS Excel like everybody else in India.

Implementing GST, or any kind of additional calculations is easiest done by using a helper column.
Can you upload an example of what a spreadsheet looked like. as it appeared before the implementation of the GST?
How is the GST calculated? Is it the same percentage no matter what the base amount is, or does the percentage change depending on the amount of the purchase?
Are some things exempt from this tax?

In short, you will (probably) need to have some formulas re-written in order to accommodate the GST calculation.
