Hello,
I have been using OO since 2005, when it was installed on my secondary school computers. The IT department didn't enable OO, to open actual OO documents. A frustrating part of the past.
Anyhoo, I started reading the guide for new contributors. I got through the index, and shared something on Linked In.
Any thoughts from the community?

Re: New User Perspective To OO Guide
Since this is primarily a user forum, most folks here have never looked at the contributor / developer guide. According to the Apache website Open Office is just one of over 200 ASF projects, so I'm sure that guide can be daunting.
If you are looking for Open Office documentation try
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation
It might be slightly less confusing.
