Converting MS Outlook to OpenOffice email

Hi all:
I was wondering if anybody can tell me if I can somehow upload my pst file from MS Outlook 2003 over to Openoffice email?
I upgraded my laptop and my old laptop has a number of emails, saved files, and contacts that I wanted to have on my openoffice on my new laptop.
I couldn't find anything on the web when I googled it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
