[Solved] Adding a music notation font

Post by Songbird2016 »

Is it possible to add a musical notation font in OpenOffice? It would be very convenient to make flashcards for my students.

The addition (actually installation) of any font is done through the operating system.
Due to the number of differences that I'm aware of, I'm reluctant to give instruction on how to install a font onto a Windows 10 system, as I'm using Windows 7
There are other helpers that do use Windows 10, so they might be willing to share the knowledge of how to do that.
Additionally, you could try to figure it out yourself now that you know that it has to be done via the operating system, not Open Office.

Thank you. I'm not terribly IT oriented but will try that but if anyone else has tips I'd really appreciate them.

I'm not on Windows right now to check, but IIRC when you right-click a font file there should be an option to "Install Font" or just "Install".

That's IIRC, not 11RC. Google it.

Thank you for letting us know.

Could you possibly tell us which font you installed - there was a similar question to yours recently and I did not know what to recommend.
