Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? Not Installed yet (Intend to install it on a friends computer... first - lol)What Operating System (version) are you using? Windows XP
What is your question or comment?
Well, I’m feeling pretty stupid right now… But can someone please tell me how I can make an installable image of Open Office for Windows XP on CD? I have downloaded the ISO Images, I have burned them to CD, and I can not execute or open any of them no matter what I try. I am not familiar with this file extension (.iso) and I’m sure I must do something to convert it but… what?

I need to make a disc because my buddy uses dial-up and the download is too large, and he is too cheap to buy MS Office. I want to install OOo 2.4 on his machine… (and maybe mine if it works as well as everyone claims)

Thanks for your help.

Whatever program you are using will have an option to "Burn or Write ISO Image" to disk or some thing similar. You have to use this feature to accomplish what you want to do. I recommend Imgburn for this http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download. The top left option in the screen shot is what you want.

Thank-you so much! :D I use CDBurnerXpPro and your explanation helped me figure out how to do it – I just never had a reason to use this feature for handling ISO Images, but am glad I now know! It worked just fine…
