Is OpenOffice Supports QTP Automation?
I am getting error while reading data from Open Office Excel sheet for QTP automation. I am getting error on my QTP editor as "ActiveX Component can't create object excel.application'.Please can anyone tell me how we can sort out this issue?..Or is Open office does not supports QTP?.if we do change some configurations in machine please help me on this...Thanks in advance

OpenOffice can be used through COM Automation, but the programming is different than with Excel.
That's right. You are using OpenOffice, not Excel. Even if it opens a spreadsheet stored as .xls it does not use Excel components.Savulagi wrote:ActiveX Component can't create object excel.application
