There is no Android version of OpenOffice. A blog published on Jan 7, 2013 on the Apache site (https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/ answered several popular questions including this
9a. "Is there a version of OpenOffice for iPad3?"

9b. "Can I load OpenOffice onto my Google Android tablet?"

(Combining two related questions)

Apache OpenOffice is available from the project for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Community members additionally have ported OpenOffice to BSD, Solaris and OS/2, and make these ports available on their own websites. There is no port of OpenOffice for tablets. However, there are some 3rd party solutions that allow remote access to an OpenOffice session, for example rollApp.

Here is some 'mindfood' :
Tim Worstall at Forbes.com wrote:Take my own computing use: email and browsing, of course. Phones and or tablets already can handle that. Above that I do a little light word processing and some spreadsheets. And that really is about it. As and when there’s an Open Office for Android (just to take an example) I could well imagine my never using a PC again, let alone buying one. And as I say, I really don’t think I’m alone in this sort of usage.

It’s even possible to offer up a design in a way. Take something in the Galaxy Note size and format. Add a hardware keyboard like a Sony Experia. VGA and USB (maybe Bluetooth) outlets so that an external monitor and full size keyboard can be added. And if there’s that Open Office (or LibreOffice, just something with that functionality) for Android, or whatever operating system that “phone” is running, then I would be catered to.

And the thing is, I can see those devices being offered soon enough. So it’s is possible that this fall in PC shipments isn’t just a blip, we really might be at peak PC.
Chad Buenaflor at thedroidguy.com wrote:Aside from having access to the apps in Google Play this tablet will also be able to access Ubuntu specific apps. Some of the popular software that you will be able to run includes Libre Office, VLC and possibly GIMP just to name a few.
sjvn at zdnet wrote:LibreOffice, Gimp, Rhythmbox, etc.--will all run on Ubuntu phones.

I have had a similar question so I appreciate this post. As the Guide for About.com's Office Software site, I keep a list of Android office software suites and apps [http://office.about.com/od/WebApps/tp/B ... ndroid.htm] and would love to add the best solution from the OpenOffice community.

The blog post on [https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/] for Jan 7, 2013 (item 9b) seems to confirm my own research in Google Play that OpenOffice is not overtly available for Android; however, the blog mentions rollApp and porting. The PortableApps.org offers OpenOffice Portable but seems to cause issues and be outdated. I would like to solidify adding OpenOffice to my list of Android-compatible office software suites and apps soon. Any additional suggestions?

I use Open Office 3.4 on windows 8 in conjunction with Google Drive:

https://www.google.com/intl/en_US/drive ... authuser=0

Google Drive allows me to create, edit and upload/download Open Office
documents seamlessly with my Droid 4 running on Jellybean.

I hope this helps.

I know this post is a little old, but I know people will come across it searching so I'm posting.

There is currently a third party port on the Google Android Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... openoffice

I have a JXD S7800B and what I have tested so far seems to work.
