How do I setup the Apache server as a local server?

Post by ramzywilliamz »

I just want to use it (w/PHP MYSQL) to create web pages. The installation of it is too complicated
I can work on windows 7 or Ubunto Linux. It then begs the question for PHP where I am having just as much difficulty.

This is the user-to-user forum for questions about Apache Open Office, not for any other Apache products.

Note that this is the General Discussion forum so you can ask such question here but don't expect many replies for the reason given by TheGurkha.

if it is too complicated try this http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html can't get much simpler and you can start and stop the whole LAMP environment when ever you like so you are only running servers when working on web page development
