This site is one year old

Post by lyn »

I received an email from the Marketing Project and the Community Project at OO.org with a reminder that this site is now one year old. they quoted some interesting stats.
Launched on November 17th, 2007 as a single English language web forum with 25 members, the OpenOffice.org Users' Community Forum has flourished to now hosting six native language web forums. It has grown to a registered membership in excess of 21,390 strong, has seen over 24,490 topics with more than 130,000 individual postings, and is on target to exceed 500,000 page views per month before the end of this year.
Congratulations to all concerned.

Yep, it's a big milestone, and the guys that set it up should certainly take a bow, because their hard work has really paid off in providing the OOo community with a great source of user friendly information and help. Well done OOCF, and congratulations on your success so far.

Yes indeed: Happy Anniversary!

And thanks to all our admins, who put in many hours maintaining and improving the site, and each of the community forums.

And also, welcome to our new Spanish-language sister forum!

Exciting times, for sure.

Happy Anniversary!!!!
I was busy these days in the Spanish forum(1) and missed the party!

(1) Let me know if I mix everything, writing in Spanish here and in English there...

Happy Anniversary!

I think we are all doing a good job here, especially Drew and Terry in backstage to keep this site working. I'm also impressed by the overall good spirit. We have been running on low policing mode during a complete year and we had to face our first hot topics only a couple of weeks ago.

User registration keeps growing at a nice pace.
