I have OO2.4 and use it extinsevly.
I seem to have lost all ability to print grey TEXT. It does not matter what OO program (writer, draw, Calc, etc) I can only get black TEXT printed. If I change to yellow font color for example in the past I would get a light grey out of the printer. Now I get black out of the printer. If I change the font color to grey.... I get black out of the printer.
in the OO printer settings the :print in black" is set to OFF. I have turned that on.... and back off again but nothing changes.
I have other software (Paint.net) that prints in Grey text just fine.
In OO Gray art, photo's drawings, area filled boxes etc. are fine. It is only TEXT that I can not change the grey tones.
Thank you for any assistance
PS- BW printer/coppier that works fine printing in gray from other programs or coppied sheets.

It is worth upgrading to version 3.0, which is now available. It might just solve your problem. It seems to work as expected here — prints as grey unless print as black is selected. You could try attaching a test document.

Yep Upgrade to a 3.0 version which I have.
The 3.0 version is better and updated for errors or bug so it might work on the 3.0 version.

No problem with your test document either. From what you have told us, I can only suggest that this must be a printer driver setting that has been changed.
