The Pagination extension has been working for me for several years now.
I recently upgraded to LO 5.2 (Linux).
I want to know where I can find Pagination in the menus...It used to be in Insert or Format, but I cannot find it there.
The extension ver. 1.3.10 from 2010 is indeed installed.
I'm writin a 2 page letter to a government minister and I feel it'd be nice if I formatted it correctly before I mail it out to him.
The extension's page is http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... Pagination.

Re: Pagination
This extension may or may not work on LibreOffice.
As a workaround insert a footer on your page style, click cursor in the footer, and /Insert /Fields /Page number and the job is done without any extension. To centre the page number you may need to insert a tab before the pagenumber field.

Re: Pagination
The menu selection that RoryOF explained should be enough for most uses. If you need a quicker tool to insert page numbers (e.g. if you do this a lot, like every minute or so) you can use Tools - Customize to make a new toolbar.
A custom toolbar can be saved in global Writer settings, or in a template (store in current document, then save that as a template). The attached template has such a toolbar, undocked. If I am reading the description right, this is more or less what the Pagination extension does.

Re: Pagination
Yes, I already know how to do a basic header and footer.RoryOF wrote:This extension may or may not work on LibreOffice.

The issue here is that it is not regular to put a page # on page 1 of a business or personal letter.
How do I omit it from page 1?

Re: Pagination
You need to use two different page styles. See
