[Solved] History Master installed

Post by eleanorb »

I have 4.1.2, and I see HM in my list of extensions, but how do I invoke it? I'd like to have more Recent Documents in the list... Eleanor

Hi,
The description wrote:Menu Tools - Add-ons - History Master : List handling...
  • Change the size of each list from 0 to 100.
  • Eliminate the useless names.
  • Change the order of the names.
Menu File - Recent of same type...
Find recent documents of a same type in one of the lists.
Once you have opened List Handling, click button Help and read.

I'm not sure I'm understanding you. Do you mean that in the Tools menu I should find Add-ons? I don't find that - see screen shot. I have v. 4.1.2...

If I click Tools > Extension Manager, I see this (second screenshot).

What am I missing? Eleanor

First, close completely your OpenOffice (including the Quick starter if exists in the Mac version).
Then start again OpenOffice and check the Tools menu. The new item may appear now.

This is what I have on MS-Windows:
Menu Tools on MS-Windows<br />(here MRI is another extension)
Menu Tools on MS-Windows
(here MRI is another extension)
Perhaps the Add-Ons submenu is elsewhere in MacOs version ? Hopefully some Mac user may know.
Tools > Options does not exist in Mac, it is found in the Apple menu : OpenOffice > Preferences

Work-around : since you don't need to change the list handling frequently, you can directly call the corresponding macro :
From the menu Tools > Macros > Run Macro...
Run macro ChangeHistory in Module1 of HistMastr library
Run macro ChangeHistory in Module1 of HistMastr library
Make sure you select the correct module and correct macro.

Thanks - you solved it in your first sentence -- I shut down OO and opened it up, and there it was and it whirled for me!
