Extensions website down - again!

Post by Adendum »

I've lost my spell check and all attempts to connect to the extensions site result in the same error (in all browsers)... e.g. The connection was reset or This webpage is not available.

Usually when spellcheck stops working on Windows you simply need to delete or rename your OpenOffice User Profile, not reinstall the dictionary (which ought be in your Browser Downlloads after the last download, unless you have removed it).
Details on the User Profile are in

The extensions and templates repository is down because there is a serious problem (currently being worked on) at SourceForge.

WORKAROUND

If you need to download new extensions or update them, you can navigate to extensions.openoffice.org/ and attempt to find them manually.

I'm getting the exact same message. I've tried every "solution" I've read about online. To no avail.

I can connect to any site on the internet EXCEPT OpenOffice websites. If I click on "get more extensions online" in OpenOffice it won't load the page. I've even added the page that won't load to my trusted websites list.

http://templates.services.openoffice.org/?cid=923508 <---- the url that won't load in Internet Explorer OR Google Chrome.

It used to work perfectly. It seems as though the templates site is down or unavailable for some reason.

Is there any ETA on restored function to this site? Where might one look to assess functionality prospects?
