I have used ExportasDoc in the past, and it used to automatically select the folder in which the original .odt file was located. However, now ExportasDoc 1.2.1 always presents me with a file picker selection which is a pain to work through. Does anyone know a way I can tweak the code so as to have the present folder automatically selected, and the file saved as .doc in one step the way it used to be?
Thanks.

Your best bet is to contact the supplier of the extension.
I don't know how many of the helpers here actually write extensions, but I'd be willing to bet that it's not a large portion.
Also please pay attention to the fact that the latest release is not listed as being compatible with OO 4.X

1: You can write an user defined subroutine for this (based on API /export+filter/ functions)
2: If you have an archive .oxt file of the older version of that 'ExportasDoc' extension, you can reinstall it.
3: There are other similar extensions:
-- Multisave: http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... /multisave , http://extensions.libreoffice.org/exten ... ases/1.3.3
-- Multiformatsave: http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... formatsave, http://extensions.libreoffice.org/exten ... ases/1.3.4

Re: tweak export as doc
Thanks, I'll have a look at those.
In the meantime, I simply created a macro and imported an icon to identify it, and assigned it to a toolbar, and that works fine for now.
