Oracle Report Builder 1.2.1

Post by pinco pallo »

Hello, I installed the extension of Oracle Report Builder 1.2.1 and learned to use it for reports of my database. What I find no absolutely up is the layout of what you get. And 'even more spartan than what you can do with the default wizard AOO. There is not the possibility to enter either vertical separation lines between the data, nor even grids. Has anyone found any solution? Thank you.

Like with all the Base objects (tables, queries, forms and reports), you get full control over the design when you open the object in edit mode (right-click>Edit...).

Thank you, with Report Builder I get this result, how can I improve it aesthetically? I can not have any control in design mode.

Click the text boxes, drag them around, taller, smaller, edit their properties (F4), add your own text, drawings, pictures, lines and boxes.

But must I do Save As ... and change the .odt file? And do it again when I update the database? Thank you.

You save the report in the odb document and then you save the odb to disk.

But then it is preferable to the report AOO native, that requires an initial setting valid forever. Or am I wrong?

When you disable the report builder extension and restart the office you can create old style reports. Old style reports can be loaded anyway, with report builder enabled or not.
