Incorrect download count on my extension page

Hi

I've posted my extension (OKDict) a few weeks ago. The extension is always download from my own server. The download count that is displayed on the page doesn't correspond to the logs of my web server (it is much less). Could someone tell me how the download count is calculated ?

This forum is not managed by the OOo team bu t by volunteers. So we can't help you. You have to contact the main OOo web site team for that. If there is no obvious contact, then file a report on the Issue Tracker.

Patrick, for the record, the extension team monitors this sub-forum (I wasn't aware of that in fact) where ccornell has moved it. So you should wait for a while, the time it is investigated (summer time with reduced manpower due to holidays).

Ups, the redirection works
It was a try, since many questions got asked on the website@extensions.openoffice.org mailing list about specific problems with OOo in general, now there is the other way around...
So I will take a look from time to time - back to topic;

Yes, there is a difference in the count. The counts on the extensions website just give an idea about the count, but they do not get every download.
Only downloads are counted that are handled by the webserver directly, if the cache in bewteen handles it, the count cant get updated - this is for performance reasons.

But I would be interested in your numbers, to get an idea how much the difference is, say for about a month.

My logs record 1500 downloads for about two months, while the extension page displays only 447 downloads.
