OpenOffice server mode macro

Postby delsteinwe » Sat Sep 28, 2019 9:28 am

I'm trying to run xls files on an open office server on Windows.

I start the oo in server mode with the following bat:
Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
start soffice.exe -headless -nofirststartwizard
-accept="socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.Service"

The server is used by a Java application.

The problem is that the macros of the given xls file don't execute.

Does anyone have experience with this? i have no idea about that please give me a proper solution for this

Have you made sure the macros can be run by OO and don't need to be rewritten?

Even if those VBA macros could be run (which is unlikely), it would be a severe security issue if they would start automatically. MS Office documents are the most important source of infection for some of today's most harmfull ransom ware.
