Editting a Text Box

Post by ljs23 »

I am a newbie to this software. I created a small db. I used the wizard to create a simple report. I am trying to create a report header at the top of the report page. I was able to add a text box to the Page Header section. For the life of me I can't figure out how to edit the box. I expect it is very simple, but I can't seem to find any information on it. Help would be appreciated!

Hi!
Maybe I can figure out what you want, but I think it could be better a bit more information:
-Do you use ORB?
-I don't know OpenOffice 2008 (Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5?)
A little example is the best way in order to help you.

Bye! ;)

Apache Open Office 4.1.4.
Then why you named it as "OpenOffice 2018"? Is there such label anywhere in the software?

Maybe it is same as the AOO 4.1.4, but it is better to fully uninstall it, and clearly reinstall it from a trustworthy (the official) source:

The development of the Apache OpenOffice is very slow today. This means a permanent state of the unchanged versions. Somebody call this state as "stability".
The development of the LibreOffice is more extensive. But it means more possible bugs. Meanwhile the LO has a littlebit higher compatibility with the foreign fileformats, like the MS document formats.

To be frank, I doubt it will matter which you use. For most purposes they are functionally identical. I use OO as I am working on texts of various sizes and I find it very stable.
