Hey guys 'n gals!
I have a rather noobie question that I for some reason couldn't find an answer to by googling.
I want to use Base as a database for customer data, the main use is going to be the printing of serial letters through OpenOffice Writer. When I googled the topic I stumbled upon a guide from 2002 as the only result. It used Calc as a middle man in the process and didn't work for me.
Is there a guide younger than 15 years that I'm missing or is that functionality not there at all?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Feeding Base Data into Serial Letters
Get the data source window (hit the F4 key).
Navigate to your Base database and the right table or query.
Drag column headers into your document.
Alternatively: menu:Insert>Fields>Other (or hit Ctrl+F2), tab "Database"
If your database document is not in the Writer GUI:
menu:Tools>Options>Base>Databases and add your database document to the list of registered data sources
