I've OOo 2.4.1 and Report Builder 1.0.2 on a Windows Home XP. I have a simple list with several text fields. Some of the fields have data that exceed the width of the field on the report. These fields wrap into the next line. I can't seem to find anything on how to keep the text from wrapping if they exceed the field length on the report. The table definitions have enough length for the data but Idon't put the entire field length in the report. I also don't want to go through a 4,000 item data base and edit down the text to fit. Any thoughts?

Re: Can't Keep Text line in Report Builder from Wrapping
Having a look at Report Builder (1.04) it seems you can change the output format of the report to be a spreadsheet (File > Report Output Format > Spreadsheet Document). If a spreadsheet format is acceptable then I don't think it will wrap long text and that should solve your problem.
Hope that helps.

Thanks - that sounds like a good idea.

The other option is to build your report against a query - actually that is a good practice in general.
In the query simply use the LEFT function to send only the amount of text you want to work with.
