Hi,
I'm trying to install OO3.30 rc10 on my new Windows 7 64 bit PC.
I'm also getting "Error: Could not create Java implementation loader" when trying to add extension Oracle Report Builder 121 Rev2.
I've tried all the fixes suggested in this forum but no use.
I tried:
1) Ticking/Unticking "Use a Java runtime environment" & Rebooting/Reinstalling OO3.3.0.
I have tried both 1.6.0_22 & 1.6.0_24
2) recreating user profile
Any help much appreciated!

You installed 32bit java?
OOo needs 32bit version.

Hi r4zoli,
I think the 2 versions I have installed are 32 bit - The Java Runtime environment mgr says they are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Java.

Then try the other one, there should be one in the Program Files folder. the (x86) is for 64bit IIRC and OOo requires a 32bit version.

Hi Hagar,
I think you have it the wrong way around.
Program Files is for 64 bit
Program Files (x86) is for 32 bit
Refer http://www.sevenforums.com/general-disc ... -help.html
Also I see my shortcut for Internet Explorer (64bit) uses Program Files and the 32 bit Internet Explorer uses Program Files (x86).

Re: Error: Could not create Java implementation loader
I stand corrected!
I quite never boot my Seven system, I have misread a post in the forum I think.

Better late than never...
I think this problem was caused by a corrupt Windows registry and hard disk errors.
I was getting the following errors in Windows Event log after every reboot:
{Registry Hive Recovered} Registry hive (file): '\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE' was corrupted and it has been recovered. Some data might have been lost.
Fixed by running chkdsk of C: and then doing an ‘update’ install from my Windows 7 SP1 DVD.
