Please give us more detail about your problem.
You try to create report with wizard and not run, or wizard not starting?
Or you use report design extension and it is not working.

The option of wizzard is there but it doesn't highlight in order for me to choose to create a report. Don't know if that makes sense?

Check your java settings under Tools>Options>Openoffice.org>Java

Java needs to be enabled for wizards work in all OOo.

Thank you. It says Java runtime environments already installed? What does this mean?

You needs to allow "Use a Java runtime environment" and one JRE version need to be selected.

The greyed out means that the wizards not working due some problems in java settings.
The user settings can be damaged by some bugs.
Rename you user profile(to not lost your present settings) as described in linked post, and restart OOo, it will create new user profile.

Then check wizards.

Check your installation file not damaged, with md5 sums. http://download.openoffice.org/md5sums/
If damaged, the md5sums differ, download new installer.

I must be doing something wrong if I downloaded a newer version but it still does the same thing. Maybe the way in which I download it or something?

It could depend on language versions, I use Hungarian version and no problems with it.
US English is good, as I know.
Try to download US version and download your language language pack and install it.

Was your problem with ORB (SRB) like mine (active topic) or the entire Report Section.
I Guess I'll start with the US version of ORB and hope you didn't mean the whole OOo install

Thanks, Signature and R4zoli,I hope it works
Thanks for the patience and the much appreciated advice

FYI... I had the same problem as Signature, trying to create Forms and Reports. Task options were light grey rather than black. The solution, I got from another post on the matter, was to reload OpenOffice this time including Writer. I hadn't downloaded the entire package of OpenOffice, only Base and Calc. I downloaded Base, Calc and Writer; now all is good.

I had the same problem as the previous poster. I only hand Base installed. Ran the installer again, selected "Modify", added Writer to be installed, installer finished, it works!
