[Solved+Issue] Keep fields together in report printing

Postby leo1 » Wed Dec 30, 2009 8:31 pm

I am using Open Office 3.1 and Sun Report Builder. I have a report that I am printing with fields called Date and Notes I would like to be able to keep them together when I print. Right now when it gets to end of a page it sometime splits them up as seen in the below picture. How do I keep them together? Thanks in advance.

If you create a Group . . . perhaps based on Date ( since you want to keep all of the Notes with the same Date together . . . on the same page ) . . . from the Report Navigator ( F5 ) . . . you can right click on the Group . . . and . . . define Date as the Field . . . and . . . for Keep Together . . . choose . . . Whole Group ( or try the other options. ).

See this link below . . . for the 'sample report' I created . . . if you 'download' it, and, drag the two reports to your database . . . run it . . . and . . . see how it works . . . with the Group and Keep together.

I hope this helps, please be sure to let me / us know.
