Downloaded SRB file not an OXT

Post by macbeth »

Hi
When I find any information on installing Sun Report Builder, it says to double click the downloaded OXT file. The file I downloaded is a zip file and when I extract the files from that they are "executable jar files" and don't open. Help! Thanks!

menu:Tools>Extensions...
Add the zip file.

Or rename the zip to oxt.

Are you running the original Office from http://download.openoffice.org or the special build from the Ubuntu folks?
Where does the SRB come from and which version?
What can not be opened and why? The database or the report therein?
Is Java activated in Tools>Options...OOo>Java?

Hi again,
I got Open Office from the Open Office.org site as well as the Report Builder extension (version 1.0.3) Java is enabled also. When I click on "Create Report in Design view" nothing happens. I have a report with a field "Total" that I need the sum of. Thanks again!

OK, It works, but I still can't seem to get the sum of a column "Total". The form is based on a query and has fields-"date" "description" "quantity" "price" and "total" and I need the total of the values in "total". Thank you all!

The properties for any label field I add don't look the same as the examples-there's no place to enter a function that I can see.m Thanks
