Maybe I am looking for the connection string. If I take a copy of the spreadsheet and transfer it to another box other than the server, how would I be able to input and retrieve information.
Box 1 = Server, Mysql, Open Office Base. Box 2 = Spread sheet Box = 3 Spread sheet etc. How do I get the client to communicate with the server "Mysql".

Re: Calc/Base remote connection
It sounds like you have the connection between Base and MySQL setup and working?
And you are connecting over a local network where all the computers can 'see' the Base file on the server?
In that case, just 'register' the Base file on all the computers (Tools->Options->Expand 'OpenOffice Base', click on 'Databases', press the "New" button and navigate to the Base file). Then every spreadsheet can connect to the 'registered' Base file, which has the connection already to MySQL.
