How to export Lotus Approach files?

Post by Jenh »

Hi, yes, we still use Lotus Approach 9.7 - has served us well. But now wanting to move on. How to export .APR into Open Office?

Thanks in advance.

I found this
http://www.computing.net/answers/office ... /4075.html

The gist of it is
With the Approach file open, "File\Export Data" brings up the Export window.

Create your "File Name".
Change "Export Type" to *.xls ( almost the last on the list)
Select "Database fields" to export.
Click "Export" button.

I assumed that I would be notified when there was an answer...sorry to take so long to get back. Thanks for the answer.

I figured another way to get this step figured out. Now it is in odf? I need to get it into .xls for Postage Saver. How to convert to .xls?

I went back and attempted using your "recipe". I get caught up when they ask to select workbook. Don't know what to do and nothing I put in works. Suggestions?

Thanks!
