[Solved] Sorting by column in a Table Control

Post by Glen Zoerner »

Hello,
I'm new to Open Office. Having built a nice database and form, after adding a Table Control it appears that the displayed information cannot be sorted by each column. I've been poking around and at one time I thought I got the Table Control to be sortable by column. Is there a way to make the Table Control sort by each of the displayed columns?
Thank you.
Glen

Hello

Make a navigation control in your data-form. I mean the form as you see in the form-navigator.

As long as the columns are fields in the table or query the form is based on, you can sort pretty easily. As Romke indicated, the button to bring up the sort dialog is on the navigation control bar - it looks like "AZ"

If you have listboxes or calculated fields in your tablecontrol, those cannot be sorted.

Many thanks for your help. I couldn't find the navigation control. Now it's installed on the form and life is good.
