Text box sometimes empty

Post by matroSK »

Hi.
Just simple question. I guess (hope) it´s just some stupid mistake.

I´ve got few text fields, which are subforms and they are showing information from query. Mostly decimal numbers.
Problem is that some fields are empty and did not show anything in some cases eventhough in query there is this information and it´s just not displeyed and I don´t know why.
Link master field and Link slave fields are the same - name of field from query, which I need there.
It happens always in the same cases.
I´ve tried to put formatted field instead, but nothing has changed.

Thanks.

Sometimes I've had a subform get corrupted and not show any information. If I remake the subform (with all the exact same settings!) then it will start working.

If that doesn't help, is your form something you could upload to these forums (i.e. no private information)? We may be able to find something from looking at the form that's not obvious just speculating about it.

@MTP: So I should try to make that form again?
@RoryOF: Yes. Other information are already there and in other cases also those which are missing are loaded as fast as the rest.

I had a problem that was similar to this. It had to do with an inability of the form to edit fields that were based on query fields that used their actual name in the query instead of an alias. The searched fields will not retain an edit/entry unless they are made from an alias.
