Value too long in statement

What does this mean? I just want to enter the next record.
SQL Status: 22001
Error code: -124

Value too long in statement [UPDATE "Alumni '65" SET "Address" = ?,"City" = ?,"DateUpdated" = ?,"Notes" = ?,"PhoneNumber" = ?,"PostalCode" = ?,"SpouseName" = ?,"StateOrProvince" = ? WHERE "AccountName" = ?]

See viewtopic.php?f=13&t=54420 - it basically means that you want to enter a value that takes up more characters than the database definition allows.
