[Solved] Cannot remove filter/sort permantly

Hi all,

I have a simple form displaying names and addresses. I once applied a filter to the "Name" field so as to view only those names beginning with "c". This worked fine and I got the information I needed. The problem is that now, when ever I open the form, the "c" filter is ALWAYS applied. I have clicked the "remove filter/sort" several times and tried to delete the filter from the "filter navigator" window, but no luck. I cannot clear the filter from the form.

Can someone please let me know how I clear this applied filter.

Try opening the form document in edit mode and check that under the "Data" tab of the "Form Properties" dialog there is nothing entered in the "Filter" property box.

The result of the sorting procedure can not Undoable after saving (after closeing/reopening the document). There is not stored any information for restoring the previous state.

You can
- re-sort the data by an another rule, even by usage of a helper column containing some data for the sorting.
- get a previous version of your file - if you made backup copies often.

Are you doing this in Base, or perhaps in Calc - the spreadsheet component of OpenOffice?
