form button and wizard are inactive

Post by JASMIN »

Hi

I previously installed openoffice and am working on a inbound/outbaound database... wanted to. I am totally inexperienced with any kind of databases. nevertheless, everything went ok, i used the table wizard creating my first table. but when i activated the go to create form out of table, the window poped up but never completed. and in the database window, both, form and report buttons are inactive.
did i forget to activate something ?
thank you,
jasmin

Well it could be a few things.

First - which OS, and which version of OpenOffice are you using?

The most common problems with this are related to java, but it could possibly be a name problem with the table, one or more columns names maybe.

Let me know on the OS and Version to start - OK

I had the same problem that the forms were inactive. After a while it came to me  that the reason could be that I did not install the OO Writer. After installing the writer, the forms worked for me. Could that also be the solution for you?
