Absolute URL for form button

Post by gkick »

Hi,

Use freestanding forms - all great, working, forms look good, hyperlinking is great - however extracting reports from the backend is a problem. After a bit of research I came across an old link https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question ... tandalone/
explaining how to solve the problem by using the DBDocShortcut extension which seems to be written specifically for Linux as some options of the dialog did not work on my Win PC.
Anyway managed to get a shortcut = some string like below

"C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.exe" -nodefault "macro:///DBDocShortCuts.runtime.openDBDoc(ReportKillsDB,repdummy,Report)"
and if I put this into a batchfile it opens the report beautifully from the desktop, however if I put the same string into the url of a button in Writer I get an error message.

So the question is can the shortcut string above somehow be modified to be workable as a valid url in a stand alone form or are there any other options to solve this.
Thks
