[Solved] Landscape table with Portrait page numbers?

Post by EinarFlydal »

Does anyone know if it is possible to create pages with a landscape table covering several pages, but with Portrait page numbers?
It would be useful for a book where such tables would be much better than landscape ones.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

A bit clumsy, but it works:
  • Make your pages landscape orientation
  • Insert header and/or footer
  • insert a frame in the header/footer
  • Insert page number field in the frame
  • Format the field: Format - Character, tab Position, rotation 270 degrees
  • Drag the frame to the side of the table, where you want it.
See rough draft attached. Some work is required (you will probably want to remove borders from the frame), and if you want to mix it with portrait pages, you need to make a separate page style.
