Often you want to insert a list of illustrations in your document. I needed one because I had to make global changes to repeated iterations of one illustration (really a large icon) that I use to separate portions of a chapter where the Point of View has changed. Unfortunately, one cannot do a FIND on illustrations or pictures. By building a temporary list of illustrations I could at least know on what pages these illustrations occur.
Creating a list of illustrations is easy! Follow these steps:
- Click on the INSERT menu item on the top.
- Click on INDEXES AND TABLES.
- Click on INDEXES AND TABLES again.
- Under TYPE AND TITLE click on TYPE:
- Choose ILLUSTRATION INDEX.
- For information on the options on this next page, click on HELP at the bottom
- When you click on DONE, your list will be created. SUCCESS!
