Hi,
I have to automatically hide some text (ideally a section) in writer if the content of a calc cell is 0. If it's not 0, the text should be displayed.
I am trying to do it by using a DDE link, fields, conditionally hidden sections, but I cannot reach my goal.
Could anybody please help me?
Thank you very much in advance,
Andrea

Re: Hide text in writer depending on a calc cell value
The help says that you can use a database field in the "Hide" condition for a section. It doesn't work to drag a field (column header) into the condition slot, so it may be that you have to type out the database field syntax. You have to configure the spreadsheet as a table and register it as a data source before you can access it through the condition.
I don't know how that works with something like your scenario; I've only used it with mail merge.

Thanks a lot, it works! At least, at the moment, I managed to output a conditional text.
I will show here some details.
Thanks!
